Sales Orders /a/sales-orders

The backbone of your fulfilment workflow. Once a customer accepts an Estimate it becomes a Sales Order and moves through a six-stage pipeline — from Confirmed all the way to Closed.

Two ways to view your orders

Sales Orders pipeline view showing Kanban columns for each status stage
Pipeline view — each column is a stage. Cards show the SO number, customer, and value at a glance.

Use the Pipeline / Table toggle (top right) to switch between views:

Pipeline (Kanban)

Each column is a stage. Cards stack vertically within their stage. Best for a visual overview of where every order stands — spot bottlenecks instantly if orders pile up in one column.

Table

A row-per-order list with columns for SO#, Customer, linked Estimate, Total, Status, Priority, Assigned To, and Required Date. Easier to sort and search when you have many orders.

The six-stage pipeline

Confirmed
Order accepted, not yet in production.
In Production
A Work Order has been created and is active.
Ready to Ship
WO completed — goods packed, awaiting dispatch.
Shipped
Shipment created in the Shipping module.
Invoiced
Invoice raised against this order.
Closed
Fully paid and archived.
Automatic transitions Two status changes happen automatically — no manual update needed:
• When a linked Work Order is set to Completed, the SO moves from In ProductionReady to Ship.
• When a Shipment is created from the Shipping module, the SO advances to Shipped.

The four KPI counters

CounterWhat it shows
Active OrdersSOs in Confirmed or In Production — open and unfulfilled.
Active ValueTotal dollar value of all active orders.
This MonthTotal number of orders created in the current calendar month.
OverdueOrders whose Required Date has passed and are not yet Shipped. Shown in red — act on these first.

Click any SO card or row to open the detail panel on the right. It shows:

Actions

Overdue orders Orders whose Required Date has passed are highlighted in red in the Pipeline view. If your team doesn't set Required Dates consistently, the Overdue counter will always read 0 — make it a habit to fill in the Required Date when confirming an order.

Filtering & searching

Use the search bar to find an SO by number or customer name. The All Priorities and All Statuses dropdowns let you narrow the view — for example, filter to High Priority + Confirmed to see urgent orders not yet in production.
