Timetable

Build and manage the weekly class schedule for each class-section — assign subjects and teachers to every period, and clear slots when plans change.

The weekly schedule grid

Go to Timetable in the left sidebar. Use the Select Class dropdown in the top-right corner to choose a class-section. The page shows a grid with:

  • Rows — periods 1 through 6 (or more, depending on setup)
  • Columns — days of the week: Monday through Saturday

Assigning a subject to a period

  • 1 Select the class-section from the Select Class dropdown at the top of the page.
  • 2 Click the + Assign button in the cell you want to fill (the intersection of the period row and the day column).
  • 3 A form appears — select the Subject and the Teacher for that slot.
  • 4 Click Save. The cell now displays the subject and teacher name.
Teacher conflict warning: If the same teacher is already assigned to another class in the same period, SchoolWise will show a warning. Review and adjust before saving to avoid scheduling conflicts.

Clearing a slot

To remove a subject from a period, click on the filled cell. A Clear Slot option will appear. Click it to remove the subject and teacher from that time slot — the cell returns to showing + Assign.

Tip: You can also re-assign a filled cell directly by clicking it and selecting a different subject or teacher — you don't need to clear it first.

Switching between class-sections

Each class-section has its own independent timetable. Use the Select Class dropdown to switch between them. Changes to one class-section's timetable do not affect other classes.

Make sure the classes you want to build timetables for have already been created under Class Setup. If a class doesn't appear in the dropdown, add it there first.
